Strong Military
I am convinced that we must direct our military might to win necessary wars against our most serious enemies. War is a terrible thing, even when necessary. War should be undertaken only with careful forethought, honest statements to the American people, competence in the undertaking, genuine efforts to gain worldwide support, and clear strategies for victory and for recovery. We must equip our troops with 21st century weapons, defenses and resources that allow our brothers and sisters in the military to ensure victory. And most importantly, we must not recklessly depend on our military without recognizing the full complexities of modern warfare and providing for diplomatic, economic, and social strategies to ensure a successful outcome.
